• Jody Chorba

    CEO

Jody started his company in 1975, after landing his first job repairing public housing, working on all areas with just one other person. After another referral, he was off to the races. Jody attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a degree in finance in 1973. Being a member of Sigma Chi has proven to be a lifelong connection with many of his brothers. Jody’s interest in design, architecture, and art is revealed in his vision for planning and building.

Marty Likos is in charge of everything! He is committed and unpretentious…always ready to roll up his sleeves and go to work for you. Marty attended Auburn University and earned his degree in building science. From his first jobs as a paper boy and lifeguard, Marty now manages lots of paper work as well as keeping all our jobs floating along. Marty has been a key team member for 36 years. Marty became a partner at Chorba Contracting in 2008.

  • Don Whitaker

    Vice President

While at Arab High School, Don’s favorite subject was physics (Sheldon would be proud). After getting his degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University, Don worked as a Design Engineer for Inland Buildings for several years. Don has been a valuable member of our team since August 1987 when joining Chorba as an estimator and project manager. Don is our vice president and oversees all our work on Redstone Arsenal. He is very industrious and has been a dedicated and loyal part of our team for 38 years. Don enjoys playing golf, fishing, and watching college sports.

  • Dave Ryals

    Vice President of Business Development

Dave grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and attended Grissom High School. He attended college at the University of Alabama and earned his degree in microbiology in 1977. Dave’s first job in construction, as a young lad, was helping his dad build a metal building in their back yard. He joined Chorba in 2013 as our vice president of business development. Dave is quite engaging!

  • Kory Love

    Project Manager

Kory is one of our newest “young professionals” and brings a new perspective to our company!

Born in Dallas and raised in Atlanta, he majored in business finance while also playing football at Jacksonville State University. Kory recently completed his Master’s degree in Engineering from UAB. Kory started in this industry doing civil work, and Chorba is his first job in commercial work. His hobbies and interests include music and outdoor activities, but he is most proud of being a father.

Since 1975, we have consistently delivered quality projects for clients across the Southeast. We view each project as an opportunity to deliver that will exceed our customer’s expectations.

Because CHORBA people take pride and concern in their work, a certain spirit of excellence emerges throughout the life of a project. A building under construction is understood as much more than just a structure - it will be a functional place where people work, live, play, shop, and worship.

The CHORBA Promise

At Chorba Contracting, we understand construction — and the needs of our clients. When you work with us, you see the Chorba Promise in action.

  • We will remain committed to craftsmanship, value and integrity, the qualities that have defined our success for more than 48 years.
